Dynex DX-40L260A12 LCD (green color problem)

It's been a while since I've been on the board, but I just picked up this 40" Dynex for free and was hoping for an easy fix.

The guy said it was only two years old and wasn't used much at all. I'm sure Dynex is crap, but that's really fast!

Anyhow, check out the pics to see the problem.

My first thought was the panel was shot, but after doing some Googling, I found that it could be a LVDS problem. I have tried re-seating it and also cleaning the contacts. (they did look slightly dirty)'

That didn't improve it at all...

Hopefully someone has seen this and can tell me if it's fixable.

    Thanks!

Bump. Anyone seen this situation before? I tried heating with a hair dryer and got no change. I don't have cold spray unfortunately.

It looks like a panel fault to me.
Could be VGH,VGL on T-con board, but it looks like T-con is on panel.

Ive seen the tabs cause weird effects like that. Maybe worth investigating. That fading to black in certain areas was caused by the tabs, but maybe you have faults in two areas there....

Thanks Tom, I was afraid that was the case. Oh well, you win some and you lose some i guess...

Thanks Alastair, I too was thinking tabs. I tried tweaking the frame to see if I got any change. I didn't go as far as removing the outer metal frame to expose the tabs though. I probably won't either, considering it's a Dynex

          Thanks again fellas!

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
            by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
            1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
            2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
            3. Problem: TV shuts down

            LCD TV Green/Pink screen problem
            by jimjoe123
I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

            Then each time...

            Thinkpad X1 Carbon "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021" VCC3M problem
            by Zeonalbasta
            i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...
