    Lg 50pq30

Hi. Let me just start with what boards i have replaced. I have replaced the y-sus, z-sus, control board and lower buffer board.

I have sound but no picture unless i remove the bottom buffer board completely. Then on the top half of the tv i have picture but has vertical black lines across it but still see the static screen in the back. So thats when i bought the new buffer board but when i put the new one in there still wasnt a picture but has sound. I have no clue what it could be. Im thinking something on the bottom part of the y-sus where it plugs it but i may be completely wrong. Thank you for your help!

Your upper buffer board may in fact be toast. The lower will not display a proper picture without the upper installed as the data has to go thru the upper to get to the lower.

Scratch that. Your lower is bad I meant. Did you buy the lower new or used off eBay that was stated as tested?

Bought it out of a new tv that the screen was damaged during shipping.

You can test for shorts on the buffer board similar to the Samsung buffers. If you bought it from a panel with the cracked screen chances are the buffer may be bad. Buffers usually go bad once screen is cracked and power goes through it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tested for shorts on both the original buffer board and the one i bought. Niether one of them had shorts. Does that count them out as being bad or can they still be bad?

                    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't

Samsung UN55H8000AF - No Picture, Working Backlight, Replaced T-Con Board
                    by ermals
                    Hi all!
I've recently run into an issue with my Samsung UN55H8000AF LED TV displaying no image. I've done quite a bit of research in terms of what could be wrong with it. Below are the steps I've taken prior to reaching out here for some assistance:

                    1. I've tried replacing the T-Con board (BN95-01594A), twice and have still experienced the same issue with all the boards I've tested with.
                    2. I've tried to remove one side of the ribbon cable that goes from the T-Con board to the panel and still not getting any image on left or right side.
                    3. I've checked voltages...
