    Hi all,

    I have a by d:sign model d:5032m plasma TV. The unit successfully enters into standby mode, and the power light switches from red to blue when the power button is pressed. However, there is no picture, and a loud buzzing noise comes from the back of the TV. This noise stops when the TV is powered off.

    This TV appears to be based off the LG 50x3 set.

    Now, I seem to recall previously reading that this might be a failure of the YSUS board. However, it has been 6 months since I've worked on this unit and I cannot find where I read that now.

    Can anyone offer any insight?

      Loud buzzing could be caused by a crack to the plasma panel or to the filling pip at the rear of the panel.

          Thanks for your reply. It is a loud buzzing like that, but it is higher pitch. Probably still the panel? I took a flashlight to the screen and did not notice anything around the edges.

              Check the filling pip at the rear of the set - it is usually covered by a little shield assembly...

                  lenovo t14 i7 10 gen : I press the power button and there is a loud fan noise for about 3 seconds and power light is on.                   I have this TV bought back in 2007 and used it for playing on PS3 for 4-5 years actively. After then it was barely used. It was mostly in stand-by mode or plugged out of mains completely for years. Today when i turned it on i have noticed noise in picture on two different locations of the screen. As you can see on the photos (see attachments) the noise is only in a small rectangle area, and if you look at it closely you see that one noise rectangle area is at the upper left corner of first half of screen, the other noise rectangle area is at the upper left corner of the second...

                  Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

                  The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                  Original T-con:
                  Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                  First replacement T-con:

                  I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

                  Hello Badcaps Members,

                  I'm experiencing an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2, and I'm hoping someone here might have some insight. The laptop charges to full capacity, but as soon as I power it up, I get a loud sound, and there's no POST.

                  I disconnected the battery and connected a USB meter, which shows 20V 0.23A when the sound occurs. I've already tried changing the screen, but it didn't resolve the issue.

                  When I use Lenovo PC Diagnostics App I get results as 01000

                  This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                  Problem
                  TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...
