    xenius LCDX32WHD88 (B)

Hi I got this xenius LCDX32WHD88 (B), when you turn it on the blue led goes off for about 3 secs then comes back on and tv does not power up. The power board is vestal 17pw26-3 v.1. Theres no voltages printed on the silk screen so cant test voltages. Caps look ok, I will test them in a bit, just woundering if anyone got a schematic for it so to test voltages first.
    Thank you.

A quick check of PSU function would be inverter 24V - the red wires running off to inverter.

    SCH also has voltages:-

Only getting 22 volts on the 24volt net.
Will check the caps on that net now.

Check PFC voltage across two points marked should be around 390V when turned on.

I only see one point, but from there to ground is 220v then when I power up the set it rises to 265v dc.

Black point on resistor lead, just above that red point on diode. Testing relative to ground isn't valid unfortunately.

OK in which case PFC is working so I'd look at replacing that little grey box capacitor next to the transformer. No experience myself, but I've heard of others with this problem and that cap caused it.

hmmm I just pulled out that cap, The schematic says it should be 12n at 630v
The cap I pulled out was 223j630 which I think should be 22n and is measuring 21.9n.

Did you manage to check 12V and 5V outputs too? Perhaps 24V is low because backlights not on. Worth a thought, could be bad main board.

                                  it works now.
Is there any way I can use this psu to find the fault on the other one?

Do note however you can't use 17PW26-3 in 17PW26-4 TV, as the -4 is rated for 40"-42" and the -3 is for 32"-37". You can do the reverse though.

There was a power surge at home from "direct" (no sound delay !!!) lightning strike. Popped a 15 amp breaker for ceiling lights (old knob and tube wiring - perfect antenna?) "Fried" garage door opener buttons and remote, KVM switch, Magic Jack, and a ceiling fan motor.

And my 55" 6 year old Hisense Black Friday Walmart TV.

There is no Red standby LED.

I was wondering how to "jumper" the board on to test voltages thinking the STB pin would be one of the pins.

However, I decided to measure voltages at all 10 pins...

                                          Hello guys,

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
                                          On The TCON...

                                          Hello
I have power adaptor(220V/input, 12V 1.2A/output) which has symptom of fluctuating output DC voltage between 11.5V-12.2V.
So I opened its plastic case and when switched it on, I heard constant tik tik sound from inside its PCB.
I measured DC voltage between negative and positive pin of the largest capacitor(400v 10uf) and it was measured contant 300V.
I also measured ESR value of all capacitors and I noticed that one of capacitor(KMG 16v 470uf), which located in the secondary side, have high ESR value(10 ohm),So I replaced it with same specification NXH capacitor....

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Assuming...

                                          Hello
I have a big problem and that is that in some cases when repairing active pfc power supplies I cannot work with a test lamp. I can only get help with 5 volts standby and for starting and starting I have to work without a lamp and this way there is a possibility of parts exploding and other parts being added.
Sometimes with a multimeter test the problems can be reduced to some extent, but I had several cases that had to be tested on and online and recently two varistors exploded. They had terrible resistance because the power supplies were over 800 watts.
                                          Is there a way...
