Hi all,
As per the title, i got a Samsung UE40C6510 (UE40C6530 and C6530 is the same) from the 'Bay.
PSU: BN44-00357A
Main Board: BN40-00187A
Symptoms:
As soon as the set is plugged in, the relay on the power board clicks (once) and the LED blinks 5 times, stops for a few seconds, then carries on blinking over again.
If any of the buttons are pressed on the screen / remote then the LED does respond to the input but makes no difference to the screen turning on.
tried so far:
I have tried unplugging the main board from the PSU (as per the service manual) which is supposed to make the backlight turn on when plugged in, but again - nothing! This makes me think it is either the PSU or the LED backlight circuit?
A small Side note:
The courier i used to get the set shipped to me *Cough* PARCELFORCE *Cough* was more than happy to use the box as a football which left the frame cracked. Fortunatey the panel itself doesn't look to be damaged though... I guess i wont know till it actually boots up!
Also; i don't have access to my Voltmeter for the week but will have it back by next week
Open to all your suggestions. Thanks very much all.
