I have a samsung TV where the capacitors seem to be ok, no bulge no leak nothing unusual.

When I turn on the TV, I get a picture for a couple of second and then it goes black. a few more seconds and it starts clicking and the switch light in the front goes on and off as the tv keeps clicking. sometimes the picture flashes, sometimes not, a lot more clicking than picture flashing.

With the capacitors looking good, I'm not sure what else to check.

Wasn't sure if it was this model or not that had the common cold solder joints on the FETs. I would check the PSU for old cracked solder joints.

now I get to show my ignorance... PSU power supply unit? FET ok I cheated its a transistor, but what does it look like? how many are there? am I looking for the crack on the back of the board or on the face?
