  • Samsung HPT4234x/xaa clicking

    Samsung model HPT4234x/xaa
    Serial AJ1L3CEP501323L
    Version SKO1
    May 2007

I have a samsung TV where the capacitors seem to be ok, no bulge no leak nothing unusual.

When I turn on the TV, I get a picture for a couple of second and then it goes black. a few more seconds and it starts clicking and the switch light in the front goes on and off as the tv keeps clicking. sometimes the picture flashes, sometimes not, a lot more clicking than picture flashing.

With the capacitors looking good, I'm not sure what else to check.

So who remembers the Radio Shack TSR-80 no hard drive, it used a tape. Pain in the ass...
without the persistence of us die hards, computer would never have become a success, crashing 12 times a day. Well, I am the number cruncher (programmer) looking to expand myself. Delve into the world of capacitors and resistors and so here I am.
