Philips 42PFP5332D/37 Plasma suspect main board

Hi, I picked up this unit last night and ran through the basic tests.
Symptoms were constant cycling of relays upon applying power. Isolated power supply and all outputs test within spec, started removing connections one by one and upon removing the 12v ssb connector the tv powers up. On this set the ssb (main) has a dc converter to provide 3v3, 2v5 and 1v2 from the 12v supply. I am making the assumption one of these is faulted. I would like to be able to check test patterns by jumpering the control board and wanted to make sure I am looking at the correct test points before I try it out, it is not shown in either the panel manual or the service manual
Picture is off ShopJimmy, I was planning on putting a jumper across the 4 pins in the top right corner (cn2013), is this correct?

Well I tried out pins 3 and 4 and it didnt seem to do anything. However the set did give me 6 blink code indicating a 5v fault. After testing the 7u25 mosfet it indicated short circuit, I desoldered and now the set fully comes up, I am able to change channels, access menus and so forth. However the set does not display any video ( I assume because of the missing 5v) Off to see if I can locate the si4936ady mosfet.

After fixing the 5v fault the set works again. For some unknown reason the tuner is very noisy but other inputs work just fine. The panel ended up having a single column fault but it isn't very noticeable, guy I fixed it for was pretty happy.

mine ended up as a short beyond the mosfet that was dragging down the voltage, I dont remember exactly what component was causing it but it was several components out and beyond the voltage reg on the rear of the main board.

Philips 65PUS8518/12 distorted image after main board replacement
            by tuner2000i
            hello everyone,

I don't normally do tv repairs but this is a case with my personal TV which got fried together with many other electronics in my house after a thunderstorm.

The TV is a Philips 65PUS8518/12 which had no power. I measured and concluded that the main board was probably fried through ethernet or hdmi. I found a board with same number 715GD328-M0F-B00-005Y (I had G) but from a 55PUS8518. The TV starts but the image is doubled, distorted. I need to set the panel code which is 016 according to the sticker on the back but I can not seem to do it.

            Symptom:
While watching, just went black and started clicking relay every few seconds.

            Initial diagnosis:
Removing JUST the main CPU/Input PCB from circuit stops the clicking. No problems with any other boards/drivers. (Removing all other boards and only putting Main back in is all it takes to start clicking again)

            Deeper diagnosis:

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
            by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Samsung PN50C540G3FXZA 50" Plasma, power cycling, Y-Main problem, Canada
            by bcstedt
Just starting to crack into this one and wanted to get the ball rolling.

At power on (plug in), power light on, relays click, repeat (sometimes)

After disconnecting Y-Main from SMPS power stays on and boot up jingle is heard from speakers

Removed Y-Main for inspection and testing
