    PHILIPS 63PF9631D/37 plasma with lines

its an 06 when i got it the Xmain was shorted. replaced board with brand new one. when you first turn it on you can barely see some blue specles, but after a few minutes of warming up you will get horizontal lines. i replaced logic board also but nothing changed. Ive ordered y sustain will be here thursday but i dont know for sure thats the problem, i cant find a test pattern for the logic board. any thoughts?

    Lines static or moving?

moving and changing contentiously. even with signal board disconnected from main i still get those lines. when signal board is connected and i hit MENU alot more of the screen lights up but just a ton of spazzing lines

Have you tried checking -Vsc voltage? Is that measuring OK?

yes all voltages are there and adjustable. when i have it on the scope you can see the distortion from the lines after it warms up. only shows up on the Ysustain side, X is clear.

I'd check for bad capacitors in that area, maybe floating 5V for buffer boards is bad. (F5V is relative to the -Vy voltage usually.)

For now, run the set cold, then heat up parts with a hairdryer, what makes it come back the quickest?

ok the hairdryer had the biggest effect on the upper chip circled in the picture. the screen started getting brighter and lines showing up more and more until bam a diode shorted and shut down. fuses are still good though. didnt turn it back on yet going to replace that diode first and check for more shorts

also before it went out was getting some really bright colors through the display

Bet that IPM module is bad. I'd wait.for.the new ysus you ordered. don't want to risk damaging the Zsus again as its a possibility that in this TV 1 board damages the other
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

The replacement Y sustain board did solve this problem. works great now.
