    lg 47lv4400UA lines on screen

    i just had a lg 47V4400ua it has lines on screen and they run
    from top to bottom .some lines are real thin and some are 3" thick
    most lines are grey/black.a few real thin lines are red and maybe blue
    tv powers on from buttons screen lights up. it wont change channels
    or if i hook up a dvd player there is no sound orpicture from movie.
    is this a bad pannel or main board ??
    will post a pic of boards. tried to reseat ribons no change

        Chances are--panel's toast. There's a lot of this happening lately....

          Yes, I have to agree. I had a cracked screen 32" which had a very similar look, and one tab bond was getting very hot...

              Before you do dispose of it, you could try checking the t-con VGL and VGH voltages to see if they are OK -- small chance of bad t-con.
