Lg 37lc7d horizontal line on screen

Hey all i bought an LG37LC7D with a long power on issue so i opened it n found 5 bulged caps i replaced the caps with caps i had salvaged from mother boards and an old xbox 360 but i had to order 1 from digikey it was a 1500uf 35v cap.
Anyways the tv powered right on and i tested the inputs n put the Tv up for sale. but today i had to use the tv in the house since my mothers sceptre tv is acting up (its on another thread) and i was watching it and noticed a couple things that bother me. I dont know if its cuz its a 720p tv and im using hdmi with SD cable or if it is a tv issue.i notice around the peoples bodies there is a white outline i read sharpness can cause this so i lowered it to 0 and it still there i also lowered contrast and brightness but no avail.. and the other problem is on the very top of the screen there is a horizontal line almost like ghost line or something (pics attached)Any ideas?

Top line: check with input from another device, some HDMI devices can cause this.
Glow: could be because you're watching SD, try HD programming, 720p can look pretty good.

Okay good good Tom I was thinking maybe it's because it's SD programing and the TV is 07 model it didn't have any upscaling. That would explain why background images look a bit blurry... Thank you for your response

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen
        by Kiberge
        HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
        by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN - vertical and horizontal stripes across the screen
        by kotel studios
        Hi,

Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)

In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....

Samsung QN70Q6DTA Ghost or horizontal lines after tape fix horizontal line
        by Ihandyrepair
        Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
        by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...
