Panellook has datasheet, but I cannot get it because you have to contribute to that site. Right now I am suspecting t-con 90% but cannot rule out main board fault.

there about both the same price i have just messed again with it and when i remove the cable from main to tcon i get a good pic for a split second i have found both boards may order one of each and just resell the one i dont use are these a good set when working ok tom? are they 1080

It is a 1080p panel.

One thing you could try:

if you can blindly enter MENU 4 7 2 5 (on any source except freeview) then unplug/replug LVDS to see brief image, scroll down blindly, check again with LVDS wiggle and select factory reset.

Never mind about the manual. I have figured out how to get Panelook datasheet, due to a bug on website.

There is no enable signal as far as I can see, so I think that the t-con is the likely cause, though try reset first.

i will try that tommorow thanks tom only paid £10.00 for the set with stand and remote so not bad even if it needs a main at £25.00 theres still profit in it i guess what roughly would you re sell at?

I sell around £100 to £110 for an off brand 32" FHD, so £10 + £25 is a good price.

cool will try a reset in while if not will order tcon first thanks tom for your great help as usual may dig that bush led out tomorrow and start a new thread its stuck in standby.

tried to get into reset cant do it hahaha need a good picture really doing it blind is hard i only get a split second picture lol i also tried using a scart into the back of a working lcd tv still no picture on that i know this does not always 100% work but if a tcon fault i thought i may of got a picture on the working set but as you said it can only be the tcon or mainboard ive ordered a tcon now so will see.

well a slight up date the t con came first and has not fixed the issue exactly the same problem so just waiting on the main board now.

well the mains come and still the same issue can the psu cause this issue? exactly the same with new t con and new main and old t con and old main have even tried all combinations of the boards now hahaha but still the same issues as post 1.

Can you post pictures of the boards?

Does the Tcon to panel cable come off at both ends or is it fixed at the panel end. Can you do a continuity test on each wire in that cable.
Did you have a source?
Do you still get a picture for split second

just tried the tcon cable tests ok so do all psu voltages when under load yes i have a source gravity dvd playing through lol sounds good hahah will post pics soon just trying to find another main as the little white sticker numbers was slightly wrong just noticed now.

I suppose it's not impossible for the panel to cause this, but I'd be surprised.

tom a question as i only ordered the main going by the stickers etc and it says 32 in etc does it matter if it comes out of a different brand of tv using the same main board?

i have just found another number on the av board covered by tape so i think i need a 17MB45M-3 V1 141209 20528890 MAIN AV i cant find one anywhere i may just put the set back together and sell it on.

I think it would need at least to have the same panel and tcon as well or the drivers may be different?

true never had to order any main boards really before but saying that i did have the same issue with that 32in lg i was trying to fix i had the wrong ebr number on that board too i will learn one day to make sure all the numbers match anyway selldoor as this is my thread hows things going your end get may projects repairs on the go?.

Nothing really- I have lots of things in bits but my son has just bought a house so I am ,sole contractor moving lights, painting, wallpapering , replacing badly laid floorboards, laying carpets , laminate floors, lining the loft and when the weather gets better will be gardening. Really I should be doing our own as well but its a lot harder when you have furniture and people to consider.
Most pressing is our second main pc has given up had a few bad caps but not sure if that is the problem. I have replaced a few and it comes on but I find pc motherboards too difficult to solder compared to monitor/tv power supplies. I also have a samsung netbook to fix tested a few voltage regulators but couldnt find a schematic so its still in pieces( at least it doesnt take up much room ). One day I will re take the voltages and put them onto the pictures and post on here BUT parts are really tiny even if I find a bad part I dont know if I will be able replace it without wrecking the board. I am not allowed any more tvs to play with I have around 6 that I think I know what is wrong but cant be bothered to fix them though I do check ebay and freecycle from time to time to see if any spares come available cheaply.
I also spend?waste? a lot of time on here, tho most if it is way above my head.

well at least your son has his foot on the property ladder and has a dad whos/willing and able to do all those different diy jobs so will keep you busy for a while then. i too have a few projects on the go but need to down size as moving into a 1 bed flat shortly i was not planning on it but my partner of 17 years passed away suddenly at home in late october last year aged 41 so me staying in this property is not a option although i would love to but but thats local council for you. so yes just trying to keep busy/ mind occupied if you understand what im saying but yes this is a great forum learning a lot whilst job hunting packing up etc keeps me busy haha.

guys a question i have just had a email from the seller of the tcon board it was not out of a digihome it was out of a Hitachi so although the on board circuit board numbers match the ones on the white stickers do not so can this still be my issue do i need to make sure it comes out of a digihome set it does look identical though.

It should work just fine - no difference - if panels are same. i.e. both LG Display etc.
