Hi, my guess is: set apart the replacement main board, take the original one to a service shop to do an emmc reballing, then try the update with the correct file.. if it works then wait, there's a further step.. bye..

Thank you for the FW mon2. When I turn the TV on, it gets to the home screen, but after about 10 seconds the TV turns off. It's not enough time for me to start the FW install off the USB stick. I read that if you hold the power button on the remote when turning the TV on with the USB stick plugged in, it will auto install the FW. All I got was the "checking" window like it was checking the FW prior to install. When that completes the TV turns off and goes no further. Any thoughts on what could be happening? I'm stuck....

Hi, would you mind sharing where you got the firmware. I'm having the exact same issue with a 55Q9G. I would like to try re-flashing too.

At this time, I finally have the latest firmware for this 55Q9G and also the 65" version of this model. Can this firmware be applied using a USB key to correct the parameters? Even though this TV with the 65" firmware has auto-updated to the latest - can we apply the 55" firmware? TBH - does the USB firmware tool even know the difference of the firmware packages? I think not as long as the pkg file is properly CRC'd.

that's True,,, since android Firmware share same package to all sizes.change the spec of the set in service menu enough to let the FW handle other Size BL Zone as they are all saved in FW..

Hi. A few updates and questions on this case.

    1) Proceeded to order a factory new controller board for this 55Q9G to service the worn out emmc which prevents the Android OS from properly booting. Always crashes at a fixed point of the boot process. The vendor shipped a controller board for the 65" Hisense as the 55" main board is not available and is EOL. This was an honest mistake by the vendor as we also had a 65" request with a backlight fault which is not worth repairing.

    2) Applied the new board on arrival and now facing a led flicker on first power on and then this fault disappears. The vendor noted this could be due to the difference in the number of LED zones on the 65" (188?) vs. 55" (132?). Any feedback?

    3) The vendor noted it is not possible to reflash the firmware to change the models yet the controller board is 100% identical - that is the firmware is obviously different inside the controller boards. A vendor in China noted the fault is not the controller board but the power supply or led drivers. Could the LED driver be at fault? We still have the original non-working controller board for testing if required. The unit is with the owner.

Summary: The 65" main board works 98% on the 55" 55Q9G for which the main board is no longer available except for the initial power up led flicker. How to eliminate the led flicker? Replace with a constant current universal LED driver? The flat FPC cables are not fun to interface with so prefer not to take this route. Will double check the connector seatings but we were extremely careful to not flex any of the rigid fpc cables, etc. The new board did perform 2 automatic firmware updates from the Hisense server.

    Welcome all feedback.

    Shipped board that was installed:

    T270342
    65Q9G T270342 Main board
Board that should have been shipped and installed but is EOL and no longer shipping:

55Q9G T270089 Main board Main Board ----NO STOCK EOL

Thank you guys. Attempted again as per Reddit articles (by Hisense) to use < 16GB (mine is 8GB) USB 2.0 stick with the above 65" firmware (ONLY - no other files onboard this stick) and was previously formatted with FAT32. The USB media is found and the OS is 'Checking the pkg file' for about 5 mins or so and then powers off but the white LED remained lit. That is, the fact that the 'checking' process ran for 5+ mins, this confirms the power supply is NOT the fault. However, the file was apparently rejected since I am still on the same OS quirk with the same apps as per the start.

JVC LT-43C888 (manufactured by Vestel) does not start after trying factory reset, details below
    by masterm
TV: JVC LT-43C888 (purchased in 2018). This is a smart TV with Netflix, Youtube, Freeview and other applications via 'Viewd' app store

    Problem with TV:
    - Netflix stopped working so i tried to do factory reset from the TV menu.
    - I confirmed on-screen but the factory reset did not happen even. It did not take me to 'first-time installation' screen as mentioned in the manual.
    - After waiting for some time, the TV went into a boot loop.
    - JVC logo comes on the screen and LED light flashes for some seconds, then it reboots again and the same thing happens

Factory Reset Westinghouse WG55UR4100 Android TV
    by neilc6
I repaired the backlights on this model (symptom flash of backlights, repaired seven bad, part#3P55TA004-A2 new strips available at Shopjimmy) and now the TV is stuck on the home screen. I can only turn the TV on with the remote and no buttons work once booted on the home screen. Only the TV buttons volume -/+ and on/off work. There is no physical menu or input buttons.

I think a factory reset will clear it but not a lot of options. Tried the Sony Android methods of holding down the on/off button while plugging it it and holding down vol- with power on/off....

Reset/erase Hynix SC210 to factory default
    by pfrcom
Some Googling made this seem straightforward, but it ain't necessarily so:

First try was Hynix Drive Manager, supposed to be able to do PSID reset

In Win7 x86 context, what shoddy software – this greeted me first time I clicked it from Start menu:

After wild goose chase triggered by the OpenGL bit, I tried swapping graphics cards until penny dropped when it still objected to a Radeon HD3450

    How I got it work:

    1. Command prompt
    2. Change to install directory \Program Files\SK Hynix Drive Manager
    3....

A1708 unable to reinstall Monterey after factory reset - disk utility error 478
    by AJ847.63e
    Hi all,

I've got a A1708 which we decided to sell off as we no longer use it. We factory reset the device to wipe all data which went fine but when trying to reinstall macOS it fails with the generic “ MacOS “Installation Failed, An Error Occurred While Installing”. I've tried the usual solutions like the first aid utility apple recommends and also disc utility delete the partitions but still get the same error. Digging into the logs you can see it's giving an error 478 but unfortunately wasn't able to get much info on that on google so I'm unsure where to go from here....
