Hello everyone,
This is my first post so please let me know if I have done something daft.
I have been given a Neon C3770F 37" LCD TV with no remote control that appears to be stuck on standby.
At first I suspected faulty capacitors on the power supply so I tested all the voltages as per the values written on the PCB and they all appear correct, I have also checked all the capacitors on the power board (MLT198TL v1.4) using an ESR meter, all appear fine.
The side button for power is making contact, I tested this using a continuity check.
I then turned to Google and found a couple of forum posts pointing towards a possible corrupted EEPROM issue. I tried a pin 5/6 short for 2 seconds, nothing.
The main board is a CV109H V2.1, I believe it's U6 on the board. I have a Willem programmer and possibly an SOIC 8 adaptor somewhere.
My next step was going to be to carefully remove the EEPROM, see if it will unlock and allow me to erase it, I've found some blanks on eBay for around £5 if mine is faulty otherwise I can hopefully reuse the original.
What I have not managed to find yet is a dump file of the CV109H V2.1 EEPROM. I have found some pre-programmed ones for around £18 posted.
Does anyone have a dump file of the CV109H V2.1 EEPROM I could possibly use please?.
I'm not used to working on TVs, this is only my second one so if my diagnosis process is incorrect feel free to point in the right direction.
Many thanks in advance for your assistance.
