    Vizio E550VL Main Board Issues

The main board sends 2.77 vdc to CN201 PS_on and the PS turns on.
    CN202 and CN203 have 24.72 to invertors.CN204 has 17.8vdc to main board
The Main board J1 pin12 sends "A "command to PS (1.022vdc) not enough to turn on the inverters for backlights. I can jumper (5vdc through a 1k om resistor) to A on PS and the backlights come on when main board is disconnected and jumpered to turn it on.
The OSD Menu does not work when all is hooked back up. cant see video when using a flashlight on screen. There also is no audio. I checked all the voltage regulators on the topside of board and appear to be fine.
There appears to be an intermittant 5v standby when connected to main board. When testing the PS without the main it works every time.
Does anyone have a schematic? or suggestions? I am sure that the main board 3655-0152-0150(4D) is the culprit. Seems to have several issues like loading the 5vdc standby but nothing overheats ans smokes, does not give command to turn on backlight even though the 24vdc is good. Last no OSD
Menu. EEPROM?? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

Thinking EEprom possibly or look for any open fuses on the mainboard. Also any voltage regulators that may be out of spec.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

U18 comes to mind.. It's the 8 pin IC located in the white box by the main MediaTEK processor. I had this problem a few times, most recently with an LG 47" LED backlit

        Hello freakaftr8,

Could you pin point where this U18 chip is located? I'm planning to buy a E550VL that it displays the vizio logo when its turned on and that's it.
I'm thinking its the eeprom, but instead of buying a mainboard, I can replace the eeprom, but I cannot find the U18 on the pics. I do not know if the TV has mainboard 3655-0152-0150 or 3655-0162-0150.

        Thanks for your help

That is a different board, I don't think this one, has that U18 IC.

            Hello tibimakai,

I did find the U18 IC. It was on the back of the board.

            Thanks for your help.
