I am presently repairing a Sony kV32s26 with no screen light.I have replaced Q601,Q602 and R607 in the PS and also the HOT.There in no heater voltage and therefore this can be the reason for the lack of screen light. Can anyone offer help with this problem?

Re: Sony Kv32S26 with no screen light.
Do you have any voltages from the highvoltage transformer? I would check and resolder the pins on the horz. drive transformer, that is usualy the cause of the output shorting and taking out the power supply.
Do you have B+ to the horz. output transistor?
Do you have Horz. drive signal?
You could possibly have a bad High voltage transformer, but usually if its bad it will short the horz. output transistor again.Last edited by R_J; 12-23-2013, 01:31 PM.

Re: Sony Kv32S26 with no screen light.
I have checked the flyback trans, soldered the horz drive trans. There is HV at
the 2nd anode at the back of the picture tube. The voltage on the heater pin
on the crt board is missing and therefore screen light is missing. The standby
light is blinking continuously.

Re: Sony Kv32S26 with no screen light.
The heater voltage comes directly from the flyback pin 6 to cn503 pin 1 (that voltage is ac at the horz. freq.) it then goes to the crt board and through a resistor 2.5 ohm to pin 8 of the crt.
Do you have -15v on tp99 and +12v on tp98 ? they are supplies for the vert. ic. if not check r536 & r537 (.47ohm) if open the vert ic could be bad.
No vert. deflection you will have no video.
