What is the best non corrosive chemical to eat away the the silicone in the IPM. I see online that some people refurbish them. Is that actual repair or they simply remove used units from a used board and sell as refurbished?
Some said they can be repaired using IRFBC40 or IRFPE50 Mosfets.
Worth while attempting on old sets customers dont want anymore?

Macbook - silicone - screen pairing

I swapped screen on Macbook Pro M1 Pro (a2442) - swapped for original one from another one (original not aftermarket)

there were shadows (i didn't swap ic's)

after update to MacOS Sequoia 15.2 backlight is fully working no shadows.

i tried restart, turn on off, close lid, ... it's working.

can someone test if it's working for other people aswell ?

also if possible test if aftermarket screens are also working???...

How to desolder this component beside chemical cap ?

Hello, I need your advise pls ?
The black component at the center of picture is dead, I need to replace it (it's a Nikon D5 camera). It's easy to desolder with hot air. But beside, there is a chemical cap, and I don't want to destroy it.

How do you do ?
I have low melt solder and good capton. Is it better to desolder the cap (for safe) with iron, then desolder-resolder the black component with hot air ? Or these caps are strong enough and capton and other cover can avoid hot air damage ?...

Apple MacBook Pro 13 2020 Intel silicone 820-01949-A A2251 no sound

Hi guys, I hope you can help me. I'm trying to identify an audio chip on this device, since NVRAM reset, SMC reset and replacing speakers yield no results, I'm pretty sure it's the chip. The sound comes back briefly after sudo killall coreaudiod but it's muffled, as if the speakers are blown, which they are not. Same effect with SMC reset -- the sound comes back briefly, sometimes the chime can be heard, sometimes it's absent.

I have a schematic for the Open Board View, but I can't seem to locate what is usually an audio - U6200 or U6201, what am I doing wrong?

why the silicone sealer on pcb boards ?

wondering why the battery packs i have been looking at have a coating of white silicone type stuff covering them ? its just i had to remove it from a board to repair it and wondered if and what i should replace it with ?
these are the 80v power tool packs .
only thing i can think of is to help stop bits falling off with the vibrations from the tools .
p.s it comes off ok with petrol and an old toothbrush . and patience .
