    Y sus problem diode maybe?

I got this Samsung ps42b430p2wxxu, Symptoms are it's clicking on and off repeatedly. I took off the cable "pic1 pen pointing too" And the tv started up. So I think im right in assuming it the y sus board at fault. The guy said he turned off the set strait away once it went bad so im gonna assume the x board is ok. looking at the y board there is no obvious fault but I did some component tests and this diode is measuring 0.6 with red on anode black on cathode and 1.13 the other way around. Resistance is measuring 10.2k black on anode and 10.4k the other way. I thought with a diode you only get current one way. looking at the top view pic there is nothing else in the net to confuse readings.
Am I right to assume this diode has shorted?
    Thanks

See what results you get with these steps.

if the answer is no to Q1 then I change the y board, is there any point in doing test 2 and 3?

I'd try it just to see if the clicking comes back. I don't know how reliable that fault finding is, just something I found.

Although it's in logical sequence so the result may be void, I really do not know,

last samsung i touched which was the 2010 series needed x & y as the x shorted the y too.

That model had a known x-main issue and firmware upgrade. ps42c451b2

have not touched many Samsungs so I can't guide you with any real experience on them.

Maybe find what other models use the same boards and try a search in the forum to see if anyone has had a similar fault.

This diode here is reading 0.0012 both ways on a diode test. surely its a faulty diode???
