    faulty backlights digitrex ctf4071a

    I have a digitrex ctf4071a with a samsung lta400ha07 panel, the inverter is a inv40n14b.
    the backlights come on for 2 seconds then go off. looking at the front only the right half of the screen illuminates.
    I've changed the inverter twice and also the PSU as I had a spare, I've also changed the t-con as it has an extra wire to the inverter, so I thought it might be worth a try.
    It looks like the lights themselves are faulty. my main question is, is this likely?
    I've not come across many (if any) faulty backlights before.
    also the patten does not point to one particular bulb
    the bulbs are U shaped with connections directly to the inverter.





    does anyone have a smashed panel with good lights?

      ive opend up the back light and found one cracked bulb. it didnt light up when the inverter powered up,when i tried to remove it it was cracked at one end. the bulbs are straight not curved as i thought. does any one have a scrap 40in panel? the bubls are 900mm long (glass part, with 5mm wire each end) someting close would do (10mm either way)

          I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

          I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

          My cheap crappy 1KW grid tie inverter (GTI) seems to keep blowing IGBTs. When I first got it, it had two failed IGBTs. It used four 60N100's (TO264). I bought 5 from a dubious source (fleabay) and replaced just the two that were dead. The GTI worked for almost two years but recently one of the two that I replaced failed.           Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV.
