Re: Samsung SyncMaster LD220HD HDTV/Monitor - no power on
Usually its the Two outer pins and the Tab - was the tab soldered on the old one?

Re: Samsung SyncMaster LD220HD HDTV/Monitor - no power on
It was a real pain to get the old one off.
Is it just the 2 pins that need resoldering onto the board?Leave a comment:

Depending on whether you can collect or delivery charges you could get one of these from
cpc see here : http://cpc.farnell.com/texas-instrum...k-3/dp/SC10562
they had a cheaper one but is out of stock but I think they have free delivery and no handling charge even for small
orders so even a more expensive one may work out cheaper overall. Check the physical size before you order.
78p, free delivery.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung SyncMaster LD220HD HDTV/Monitor - no power on
Unles the ebay link you gave is misleading that NCP1117ST33T3G has to be wrong it has 3 legs plus tab
Digikey have this one LD1117DT33TR
If you are near any of the outlets, rs online have dpak 1117 3.3v - may be worth checking them out

OK, NCP1117ST33T3G, that's SOT-233... so do they comes in both square and rectangular formats?
I'm not sure whether the rectangular one would fit.Leave a comment:

OK, thanks.
I've just been looking on ebay, and it looks more like TO-252, which is a square format, rather than rectangular.
Like this one.Leave a comment:

It's a short code for a 1117-3.3V type. Package format is SOT223.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung SyncMaster LD220HD HDTV/Monitor - no power on
Google doesn't bring up much relating to voltage regulators marked 17-33 0944DG. Does the 0944DG just relate to the assembly date etc?
Any suggestions for a suitable replacement? Otherwise, will any 1117 3.3v regulator be OK?
I've not found a schematic for the board so far, either.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung SyncMaster LD220HD HDTV/Monitor - no power on
I would consider replacing that regulator, but if that fails, you would probably need a schematic to trace the circuit and figure out what might cause this fault.Leave a comment:

Yes, it's 17-33.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung SyncMaster LD220HD HDTV/Monitor - no power on
Well, that is a problem. Are you sure the suffix is -33? If so, need to trace where that fluctuating 1.8~3.3V is coming from.Leave a comment:

Yes, they fluctuate quite quickly.Leave a comment:

When you say "1.2 to 2.0" and "1.8 to 3.3" do you mean the readings are jumping?Leave a comment:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by GLISITHi all,
TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!
I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...07-20-2025, 08:06 PM -
by Journey11Hi All,
First time posting here ... my name is Kevin but my friends call me Journey.
I have a Samsung 75" LCD model UN75RU8000FXZA that I don't remember the original fault other than it wouldn't power up anymore.
After it sat for many month's I decide to look at it again. The motherboard seemed to have power regulation issues. After much fussing I decided to just get a new MB.
It came a few days ago and I installed it now just cycles the power relay on and off ... when on the backlights light up and then dim and then relay kicks off and the whole things starts again.... - Loading...
