Yeah, that seems likely, I did a little searching around and can't see it for less than $70US, so I guess it is a common fault.

So is there any point in troubleshooting the mainboard? Or is it too difficult?

Well I found a couple interesting things... As I was looking further into the mainboard, I found that the tv would start when I removed the extra inputs...the ones on the side of the tv. I took them apart and found major damage. I'm guessing lightning strike. So I put the tv back together without it and now I can get it to power up, but only using the button on the mainboard. The regular power button will turn the tv off, but not on. Any ideas?

Anybody? The tv powers on when plugged in, and I can turn it off with the power button, just not back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
