OKITVV37TD stuck in stand by (17PW20 & 17MB22-2) yet another vestel

    Hello guys.

This is my first post asking for help.
Last week this TV came in. It has the power supply 17PW20 and the mainboard 17MB22-2.
The set's led was intermitent and would not start.
Since I know those powerboards are bad, I ordered a new one from my provider. When I got the new board, the set still doesn't work. Now I have a fixed lit led and nothing else works.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Blanqui.

Try replacing EEPROM, you can use a blank one on this chassis.

Not continuous blink from LED? Just solid, in standby? What does set do if you press power button?

Yes, the led is just solid and I have all stby voltages ok.
If I press any button the set does absolutely nothing. I can see the voltage variations on switch board but nothing else happens.
I don't have a blank eeprom now for this set. Will have to order some.
Any other things to try in the meantime?

      Thank you!

        17PW20-1 sch

When you plug in set, stby voltages come up. Then self test begin. ST_BY pin 6 PL803 should change state (cannot remember if high or low), voltages from PSU come up and then after a second or so it turns off and sits there in standby. Then you can turn it on with button or remote. Usually if self test fails you get continuously blinking LED. But maybe older main board will just shut them off.

I do have a working 17PW20-1 board in a 37" Sanyo I'm working on right now. Can get you a few measurements on that if you need. It works fine, but the inverter has a fault.

Yes, when the power button is pressed, all voltages come on briefly for a second or so, then only remain the stby ones.
Pin 6 goes from 0.4 (at power on) to 1.8 on stand by.
Pin 5 stays at 2.7. It should be error_det. But I don't know if high means error or not.

So, the voltages are all good briefly? Corrupted EEPROM or bad main board then. The main boards in most Vestel sets are fairly reliable, though...

Let's hope it's a bad eeprom, if not, after replacing the power supply, customer won't accept the repair quote.

So no more for now, time to go to have lunch and enjoy the weekend :p

              Thank you for everything!

                Hello again.
I've just replaced the eeprom and the status hasn't changed.
The set does the same, steady led lit.
Is there anything else I might try?
                Thank you!

                Blanqui.

Check all voltage regulators on the main board and DC-DC if they have any, post a picture if unsure.

                    by DXseekerMO
                    Hello everyone!

Tonight I picked up a Samsung UN65NU6900FXZA with a curious issue.

                    Symptoms:

                    1) Plug TV in to AC outlet, stand-by light illuminates briefly and goes out.
                    2) TV does not appear to turn on
                    3) Backlights do not illuminate, voltages associated with backlights on Power Supply are not present
                    4) "Power on" terminal on Power Supply has 3.26v
                    5) "A13V" terminals have 12.9v
                    6) Stand-by test jumper on Power Supply has 12.9V
                    7) Optical audio jack on Main Board illuminates
                    8) With stand-by...

I'm now in possession of this very old 2005 plasma TV, the original failure described to me was that it only turned on after hundreds of attempts, eventually it just stopped working.

It has stable stand-by 5V and 4.4V AC-ON voltages, the main board red LED lights up, it has all of the secondary voltages generated by standby: 3.3V, 2.5V and 1.8V. Trying to power on via remote or power button does nothing, the signal is received, but it's stuck.

The power button was bad, replaced but that did not fix anything, replaced 10V 1000uF, 25V 470uF, 50V 47uF and 50V 10uF capacitors...

                    Hey....

Board as written in description was stuck at VGA LED. common Problem wit these type of bords.... tried all the "standard stuff" like resettin... reseatin.... found out the LED Controller MCU1 = IT8295FN-56A geting burning hot under the last PCI Slot.. now i desoldered it cause there were only 18 ohms at the caps arround.... another aorus x470 in working condition with similar part and nearly same layout had arround 280 ohms...

my question is: why doesnt the board start know without this chip.... worked myself through the boardview but i can´t understand...

Vestel tv, how to flip the image?
                    by France_53
Hello everyone from Italy, I'm here to ask for help on a Vestel TV, I've had a Vestel TV branded "XD" with a broken screen for years, but now I've found a Telefunken (still Vestel but older) and I've mounted the panel on the "XD" TV, it works, but the screen is upside down, given that Vestel does not allow you to rotate the image from the service menu, does anyone know how to solve the problem? the original panel is marked ves315WNDS-2D-N12 while the main board 17mb110, the panel I mounted instead in the tv (from the telefunken) is a ves315WNDA-02. ... It is not worth repairing...

                    by ekozeko333
                    Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers
🧠 What I’ve Done So Far
