Re: Panasonic TH-42PZ70BA 10 blinks no power - intermittently
Hello folks.
I have some info about this.
You should check if D401 is s/c or leaking. You should also replace MC301 and MC351.
Also check if T201 termal fuse is open.
Hope this throws some light in.

Re: OKITVV37TD stuck in stand by (17PW20 & 17MB22-2) yet another vestel
Let's hope it's a bad eeprom, if not, after replacing the power supply, customer won't accept the repair quote.
So no more for now, time to go to have lunch and enjoy the weekend :p
Thank you for everything!
Blanqui.

Yes, when the power button is pressed, all voltages come on briefly for a second or so, then only remain the stby ones.
Pin 6 goes from 0.4 (at power on) to 1.8 on stand by.
Pin 5 stays at 2.7. It should be error_det. But I don't know if high means error or not.

Re: OKITVV37TD stuck in stand by (17PW20 & 17MB22-2) yet another vestel
Yes, the led is just solid and I have all stby voltages ok.
If I press any button the set does absolutely nothing. I can see the voltage variations on switch board but nothing else happens.
I don't have a blank eeprom now for this set. Will have to order some.
Any other things to try in the meantime?
Thank you!

Re: Panasonic TH-42PZ80B - Completely dead again
Hello, tw2005.
I thought tom66 was suffering from the MC201 module but it seems it's not the problem.
In any case, the problem this module suffers from is the cap between legs 11 and 13 of IC TEA1611T.
Referring to your request, tom66, there is no mention to what you say. The closest thing is to replace MIP3A and the fuse on the standby power supply. But I guess your fuse is right and don't need to replace MIP3A.

Re: Panasonic TH-42PZ80B - Completely dead again
The capacitor doesn't have to be replaced, it has to be removed.
This is the repair suggested by Panasonic, I'm an ASC. I mean that this is the proper repair, LOL.
Anyway, maybe I got a little lost in translation. From your last post I haven't understood if you were saying you had or not that board.
Sorry for my English!!!!! :p

Re: philips 42 inch plasma.
Hello, shawy123.
On this sets, there is one common fault which is to replace C803 (1uF/630V) on the power supply board.
Hope that works for you!

OKITVV37TD stuck in stand by (17PW20 & 17MB22-2) yet another vestel
Hello guys.
This is my first post asking for help.
Last week this TV came in. It has the power supply 17PW20 and the mainboard 17MB22-2.
The set's led was intermitent and would not start.
Since I know those powerboards are bad, I ordered a new one from my provider. When I got the new board, the set still doesn't work. Now I have a fixed lit led and nothing else works.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Blanqui.

Re: Panasonic TH-42PZ80B - Completely dead again
Hi tom.
This looks like you have to do a mod to this one.
There is a daughterboard on the powerboard. There you will find an IC which is a TEA1611T. You have to remove the 1uF cap that's between pins 11 and 13 from that IC.
Hope that helps!

Re: panasonic tx-p50u10b
Hi futurespec.
Have you seen if fans are working?
Try to clean them.
Also please tell us if the led blinks and how it does so.
