bad panel or just poor pic quality Samsung UN60ES6100F

    How is everyone?
I have been so busy at work I still have 6 tvs waiting for me to fix
I have really missed this forum

Anyways I have a 60inch that I bought last year November and the mfg warranty is about to expire
So I wanted some input if my panel is going bad or its just the pic quality

When im watching any movie or show and there is a night time scene or just a very dark scene the blacks look pixelated (if thats correct terminology)

    Please see pics

Could just be crappy MPEG compression. Try with gradient pattern maybe available in service menu. Also try pure HDMI with bluray or other near lossless source.

i forgot to mention this happens when im using a wifi signal to watch netflix. not sure if that matters. but when i watch 1080p tv shows it still does it. also i dont have a blu ray player but i do use an hdmi cable for the dvd player.

i will check the service menu if i can find it

Samsung's AU series "high quality" panel internally melting
              by Biruslapio
I got this 55 inch AU7X00 TV, it was rebooting and showed no image only a blink of the backlights.

I assumed it was either panel or motherboard. Turns out it was the panel, and after applying some tape on the ribbon cable that goes to the left side of the screen, the TV turned on with image, then I suddenly noticed a dark spot and the pixels were turning black on the left edge, I was sad and thought I smashed the screen somewhere, found nothing visually, it looked in perfect condition and if it was there before it would've been noticeable while I was inspecting the TV the first time....

SAMSUNG UN50TU8000F rebooting, backlight ok. No 12v to panel boards.
              by triplefour
TV flashes backlight then reboots over and over. no image. Client said it used to have image for a bit before rebooting. Got worse over time.

              tcon is built into mainboard.
Only one cable goes to panel boards.
there is a cable from one panel board to the other that links them.
cost cutting measure that results in us having harder time to diagnose.
removing the link to the second panel board allows TV to stay on with stable backlight but no image.
used cut off tape method to mask 1 maybe 2 pins on the side of the cable that goes to that second panel board....

Samsung UN65TU8000 - Panel Issue [ hole in ribbon cable ]
              by NWArkGuy
Well, I will be the first to admit that I screwed up...

In attempting to replace the backlight in a UN65TU8000, I made a hole through one of the ribbon cables between the board that runs along the bottom of the back of the TV and the panel. This lead to a between a 1/4 to 1/2 inch vertical stripe running the full height of the image.

I don't have the experience; personally, to solder a bridging wire for the paths that were cut. So, I have been on the hunt for other Samsung TV's of similar size.

I have 2 that I have found and have in my possession. ...
