I'm going to say panel due to the lines. Possibly gamma IC on t-con but not certain.

Ok. Yea I was looking at the tcon troubleshooting guide and it looks close like its a tcon issue but I wanted to get another opinion before I risk paying a lot for this.

Given the fault I would not chance more than £35 on this (approx $50.) I could make back at least 3/4 of that selling the parts like main board and power board which are OK.

That's what I was trying to buy it for but they won't budge off 225. That's why I wanted to make sure it was at on cause then I could flip it for 200-250 profit.

Lol yea. They just figure ing that cause they selling for 6-700 around here. But I'm gonna hold off and not risk that much.

Hey since your here can you answer a question for me. How do you test the small I'm guessing voltage regulators that look like a box with 4 legs on each side of it.

I don't know what you mean. There's a thread in the FAQ section on voltage regulator testing.

Here is a data sheet on it. Apparently someone else had to replace on on the same tv I have and I don't know how to test to see if mine are good. http://html.alldatasheet.com/html-pd...2/1/G2996.html

I have picked up the same thing for $75. It needed a mainboard for another $100. Had different problem then yours.
I kept it for myself.

Yea I was hoping to flip it for some quick cash but it is a pretty big risk.
