    magnavox 42md459b/f7 backlight

Before i order a new inverter board for this TV i was wondering if i am ordering the right thing, I bought this TV off someone to fix and use, He told me for awhile the screen would flicker and then after some time darkness, You can see things on the screen with a flash light and it will play movies from the built in blu ray you can hear them playing and see them with a flashlight I been unable to test the inverter board because its hidden behind the plate as seen in the photo and i have seen a Service bulletin for the inverter board for this model taking about a .75A fuse but i don't see how i can jump it and have it back together for testing, Any ideas before i order the inverter board?

That is the very common failure fuse (looks like SMD resistor) in CMO inverter board. You can jump it with .22~.47 Ohm 1/4 W resistor. You can run the board without the protective metal cover installed for testing purpose, just make sure to install all the mounting screws back in place. I use PICO II fuse for repair.
