Toshiba 32A3000P inverter problem!

hello everyone

got this LCD recently from a friend , the TV has sound but no pic and no backlight.

i dissasmbled the screen and found that there are two blown caps on the inverter board (6632L-0420A )and also it seems like the transformers has been replaced .

what is your expeirience would replacing the caps solve the problem or a kit i've seen on Ebay :

or the complete borad should be replaced.

just wondering is it a fix or just prevanting the problem to occur on a working set. (since the caps on mine are already blown? )

Blown caps will definitely cause flickering or no backlight. Replace them with Panasonic FC, FM or FR, available from Digi-Key, Farnell/Element14 or eBay (make sure to avoid fakes!) The capacitors in the eBay auction are cheap replacements and will likely fail quickly.

you can select small order usps for about 4$
edit never mind just noticed you are not in the states

UPDATE: hi guys , i got the two caps replaced with new ones - but still no backlight

could it be one of the light tubes that causes no light (as in pc monitors)?
what should i do next at your opinion ?

Do you have stable 24V going to the inverters?

I would also check all the MOSFETS on the inverter boards to see if they are shorted.

i just tested it - seems perfect ...
it has 5 VIN and 5 GND tested them all 24.0v

stupid questions: is there any fuses on this board? (i only recognize a fuse when i see a standard glass type)

The fuse is the white cuboid/rectangle with gold ends, marked on board F1 12A near the power connector.

the MOSFETs all have same resault (not shorted - BUT tested onboard is it ok?)

the fuse also checks out OK (learned somthing new today

if i get an inverter card - is it 100% solution or it still can be another card or the CCFL ?

Does this set have a slave inverter on the other side from this one?

no - only one that is connected to both ccfl
