Panasonic TC-P50G10 Plasma No Picture, Red Indicator Only

This plasma TV shows no activity other than the red indicator light that comes on when you press power. If you hold power down for a few seconds then the light will go off.

I've tried all the fuses on the power board and they test good. I've yet to find any other fuses other than a couple on the buffer boards that tested good.

I've tried disconnecting the buffer boards and shorting SC50 as described in this post. which did not result in a blink error.

The only thing that I've been able to do that resulted in a blink code was disconnecting the SC board which gave me a 7 blink error which I believe is to be expected.

Voltages almost all seem off. I'm getting less than one volt going to to SS and SC board and it seems to fluctuate a bit (will start low when TV first gets power and will slowly climb to around .5V)

I'm getting the following voltages going to the input board:
    0.58v
    5.16v
    2.82v
    14.56v
    0.07v

I've got pictures of the boards if that helps and I've attached the service manual and a quick guide to the model.

When you plug it in, are any relay clicks heard?

I'm thinking there's a dead short on the SC board if you've gone from no fault code , no startup to a 7 blink with the SC removed so A board is probably ok. You've measure the vsus ( I assume) to the SS/SC at zero so with the SC removed if you measure Vsus again from the PSu I'm expecting Vsus to be normal until the 7 blink cutout.

Could also measure resistance across SC2 terminals and see if shorted.

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
        by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Panasonic Plasma repair - TH-P60GT50 - Dead, 3 blink code
        by rmacintosh
I aquired this Panasonic 60" plasma around the time my first child was born. It was meant to be a project tv, hoping to fix it chipping away at the repair in my free time. Well that was 2 years ago and i'm really just getting around to making a sincere effort to see if I can ressurect this beast.

The symptoms of the tv ar as follows:
        • Plug AC in to back of TV
        • After about 2 seconds the relay on the P-sub board will click on and then a fraction of a second later it clicks back off
        • The 3 blink code is given by the power LED
        • If the TV is unplugged and then

        Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
        by jm1234
        Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Panasonic Plasma tc-p55vt50 6 blink error code
        by orbit417
        Hi All,

Thank you in advance for your advice.

I have a Panasonic Plasma tc-p55vt50 that's about 9 years old and has just recently stopped working :-(

I noticed that when I turn the tv on I hear a click then screen comes on for like half a second then shuts off and the led blinks 6 times.
I did some googling and found several video's on trouble shooting all sorts of blink codes. I finally came across one that showed 6 blink error code but for a different model. It recommended disconnecting the SC board to determine if it was the A board or power...

        Hi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
For my passion for technology I'm now collecting several...
