Any idea where I can get replacement flat flex cable from?

I've got this TV (it's a Samsung LE-37A557P2F) and the flat flex cable that goes between the T-Con and the panel has been chewed and the contacts have been lifted. Has anyone got an idea where I could get a replacement cable from? The flat flex has 80 pins with 0.5mm pitch.

Anyone got any experience with trying to get flat flex cable?

Well yes. But here's the thing. Most similar flat flex cables on eBay are advertised as "coming from TV model X". Or worse, coming from Panel type Y. And even worse, a lot of the eBay sellers (I guess they obtain smashed screens, and strip the boards out) don't see these cables as having any value and discard them.

I haven't got time to wait for someone to a) buy a smashed version of the TV I have, b) with the right panel model, c) strip it for bits, d) decide that these cables are worth keeping and e) list it on eBay.

Put another way, if I'd lost the cable between the PSU and the main board say, I'd be able to find in short order that it was say a 20 pin connector, with 1mm pitch, in two rows. Then I'd be able to buy a replacement cable, or buy the connectors and crimp up a replacement cable myself. I wouldn't have to wait for someone to list "PSU cable from TV model X" on eBay, and then try and rinse me for £30.

So what I'm really asking is "Is buying generic flat flex cable a thing, and if it is, what do I need to know to buy it?"

Otherwise I'm going to have to strip the TV for parts, which seems a shame since I reckon it would be OK with a brand new cable.

              Bump!

Time I did something with this TV, I think.

Here are photos of the chewed flat flex I've got:

The problem I've found is that I can't get 80 pin flat flex from anywhere (e.g. Digikey). 60pin is no problem.
