samsung LN40c530F1F wont turn on

I plug tv in the red light goes on, I hit the power button it blinks 5 time then turn off
I checked the cap on the ps they look ok, I unplug connector going to main pwb the black light goes on please help im stuck!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like your main board is bad. Can you post pics of the circuit board layout? From what I can tell by looking at pics of power supplies for this TV, the inverter transformers live on the power supply. This would further point to a problem with the main board being likely.

Edit: Can you clarify what you mean by "main pwb"? I took your statement to mean that you disconnected the "main board", which is the board that has all the A/V inputs, from the power supply.

Try disconnecting the cable to the T-CON board, but I believe it is the problem on the main board.

Old problem here. Have the same problem, if I unplug the t-con there is no change. But if I unplug the main the back light and tv turns on.....So my guess would be main....Is there a way to further test the main?

I have this same problem. did you ever find out if it was a main board problem or the power supply?
