    Philips 42pfl7422d/37 to much brightness

    Hello!
A week after a storm, my tv got to much brightness (almost white screen). I tried to modify the brightness and contrast and stays in the same way. I would like to receive suggestions or even clues to fix it. Thttps://www.badcaps.net/forum/images/smilies/feedback.gifhanks in advance!

Can you post some pictures of the boards inside your set?

I been reading the troubleshooting guide, it says something about the Tcon. I am able to see the picture in the lcd, but its to much light going out from there...

The t-con is probably under a shield. Top left the LVDS cable connects to your t-con board. Please note that the t-con can be different for each TV so make sure you get one of your TV not of someone else's.

I need a picture of the t-con to show where to test the gamma curve voltages.

Re: Philips 42pfl7422d/37 to much brightness

Finally i tested the signals goin out from the video board to the lvds conn. there is a component SG11 (an internal doble coil) that is no t reciving signal like the other SGXX components... i tracked this signal going back and there is an IC 7Ge2 that should deliver this signal in the pin 107,106 but is not.. Also i cheched the ALtera FGPA output signal that feeds the 7GE2 IC and its working ok. I guess its all right????

A picture of the board connected to the other end of that cable is necessary.

                        Here is the gamma chip.
Near it are points marked VGMA1, VGMA2, VGMA3 and so on.
Please check the voltage on all "VGMA" with board installed, all connected, picture visible on screen. Voltage could be up to 15V.
