    Panasonic TC-L26X1 - no power

Hello.. I'm trying to diagnose a problem for a friend. Panasonic TC-L26X1, seems to be dead, no lights, relay clicks or anything when plugged in. Last resort is a new power supply board, but I figured I'd try to save her $50. Since there are no relay clicks, I'm guessing something in the standby section of the board is bad.

Fuse is good, caps all look good and I'm measuring 120V past the coils at the bottom, and at the thermistor in the lower left. No power from the bridge rectifier, but it seemed to test ok with the diode tester of my multimeter. Also checked the numerous other diodes and found nothing seemed off. Thoughts on what to trey next?

Does the unit have a relay on the power board?

Photo of back. (iPad I'm posting from will only let me attach one photo per post as I think it names them all the same)

Re: Panasonic TC-L26X1 - no power

So.. should there be any relay clicks when power is applied? I guess the two relays that are feeding the bridge rectifier are triggered when the tv is turned on. PCB has a spot for a third relay but they just have the thermistor there instead.

Guess I need to figure out where to check for the standby power and trace back from there. Found the service manual for the TV but it doesn't have much info on the p-board.

Check across here. What voltage do you see? Expecting around 160V.

              163V there, yes.

Hmm, looks like there's 163V going into the transformer (41-603), nothing coming out.

OK, check the voltage across each of the blue ringed capacitors, red probe on positive end black on negative end (marked with white strip.) Number readings from top to bottom as in my diagram.

Also please get part # of the green highlighted device -- this drives the standby transformer.

Green circled IC is A6252. Pic attached.

Capacitor voltage from top to bottom:

                    0V
                    0.5V
                    10.9V

Seems like the STBY power supply is working, check the DC voltage on that cap (C501/601?) just above the transformer (stby xformer with 41-603 label on top).

Cap C601 = 5.7V. Also found the STB5V pin on the connector to the A-board and it's also reading 5.7V. So what to check next?

Looking at the service manual, found Standby 5.7, 3.3 and 1.8V on the A-board and they all check out. Somewhere when poking around with my multimeter probe I triggered the power supply relays on and the LED on the front came on. All voltages were present on the A-board connector from the P-board. TV still doesn't do anything....

Guessing that the A-board will need to be replaced. These seem pretty scarce may be more trouble than it's worth.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

                            Hello,
I have been reading a few threads on here regarding Panasonic plasma tv's. I've found one thread which explains the same problem as mine, unfortunately the thread has not been completed.
I got a free tv (TH-50PX8EA) from a friend which shows no screen. When plugged in only one red light shows up and when pushing the ON button, the red LED turns of and will only turn on again when pressing the ON button again.

When plugging in the TV i hear two relays click fast and after a few seconds the third relay clicks.
I have measured the voltage in the VSUS line, which...

I was working on this CNC machine today found no keyboard functioning no control relay powering on

Found shorted diodes on main controller relays there are 3 of them that...
