The jumper before should have worked if the control board was OK, but that may also be caused by bad sustain boards. However, I think the LED would still blink if there was an error, it just may only blink a few times.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. The LED should blink at least once, if not several times, before shutting down. Assuming that the YSUS and ZSUS are isolated while you check LED, which I think you did previously?Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

I did like you said. The LED did not blink even once and a sort of sparking electrical noise (like when you are tuning a radio) was coming from the power supply board. It disappeared when I restarted the set after reconnecting the power to the YSUS.Comment

Can it be possible that there are bad capacitors on the YSUS board that is causing the display to go black- a common problem with LG TVs. As I earlier said that the TV used to start with a black screen and started working in a single on/off try and the number of tries increased with time . Maybe the logic board is not giving any test pattern because of this.Comment

By blinking LED do you mean the red power led or the green control board led. The red power led never blinks , it lights up and fades out as the set powers on-- just like normal operation.Comment

hi guys, i need your help again...i have tcl u65x9006. while i was watching it become darker like when a movie ends, little by little the image disappear. now if i turn on i have back light on, after like 1 min i have also sound but no picuture. the back light is on i take off one at time the ldvs but nothing change always no picture. i tried to cover with a piece of paper the pin of ldvs i cover like 7 8 pins but nothing worked. the tv stay with no picture. there is a tcon board.i checked the voltage there on the fuse i have 11,8 volts. there is caps in shorts on the exit of the tcon i have... -

Saved this beast from the landfill this weekend.
Manfactured July 2013 in Mexico.
I love working on plasma TVs.
Its been a while but I was lucky enough to find 2 this week.
The TV powers on and stays on but no picture. Havent checked for sound yet.
No bulging caps although the insides are pretty dusty and the boards are discolored from many years of high heat.
Will start troubleshooting tonight.

Yes it's a 17 year old Panasonic plasma!
I was watching TV when there was a huge lighting strike nearby my house that shook the house. When that happened, the picture on the TV froze and the TV wouldn't turn off except by pulling the power cable. Now if you plug in the TV, it seems to turn on (it makes the turn on "clikcs" it always does, the red power light comes on but there is no picture, although I can see the back light around the edges. And the TV doesn't respond to the power button on the remote to turn off, and doesn't respond to the manual power button on the front... -
I have a Samsung 60-inch plasma TV, model PN60E550D1FXZA with factory remote. When cold, the TV will turn on and operate normally. After operating for longer than 30-60 minutes, if the set is turned OFF and then back ON, it will turn back ON, but there is no picture (screen remains black). I can confirm set is ON because I can hear audio from the speakers when I operate the VOLUME UP/DOWN control on the remote. If I allow the TV to rest (cool), it will eventually turn back ON with picture restored. That may take an hour or overnight.
