Panasonic TC-P65GT30 Yellow Vertical bar problem

I had it posted on a similar Pansonic thread yesterday since I could not create my own.

The problem is two years old TV suddenly developed Vertical bar about 3” wide that is Yellow color under white background on the left side of the screen. Checking through website and found some Panasonic service training manual showing a similar symptom except all are black bar or red bar with no background showing. My TV shows the picture except it has yellow tint on majority of its presence. The possibilities are C3 board, or A board with occasionally PDP panel driver IC which is embedded and cannot be replaced. Am I on the right path? Any input would be helpful.

UPDATE: I have ran some self diagnostic and nothing really stands out. I am attaching pictures for analysis. Picture 008 of self check shows yellowish vertical bar on the left of the screen.

I still think it's worthwhile doing the mirror test in service mode under option first.

Yes, and if that shows bar in the same place, a very common issue on these sets is a loose connector on that part of the plasma panel, easily fixed by just reseating it (power must be off while doing this.)

Will try that tonight. I'll update tomorrow to see what happens.

        Thanks

So I tried the reversing the mirror function tonight and it did not follow. I guess that means I have to check C board or connection to the C board?

Yes. Connection only to be removed or inserted with power off.

I'll have to dismount the TV from wall stand to remove the back cover which is a pain but to save $$$, I'll have to do this. It looks like the weekend project for me.

              I'll post what I find.

              Thx

I had my friend help me to dismount the TV from the wall and I had to install the stand to remove the back cover. So many screws to remove but it was worth it.

Unlocked all of locking tabs from the PCB and removed the C3 PCB mounting screws so I can wiggle it a bit. Reinstalled everything back and turned on the TV and the yellow bar was gone.

Thanks for all your help folks!!!

TV looked as good as it was new except I lost all my calibration setting due to Factory reset.

One question I have is when I performed Factory reset, does that roll back the color tweaks done at service mode? I have made some tweaks with Red, green, and blue CUT values but I can't find my notes for the original setting.

Factory reset from service menu will reset all of those presets, but I think if you do it from the user menu it won't affect them.
