    Re: Samsung LE32R74BDX Backlight flicker

Pheewww Main survived its ordeal of a brisk kick up the arse :o)

With the resistor connected it stays at 11.4v and when the backlights boot up and the flickering starts it drops to 10.4v and stays there

OK, so with backlights flickering, resistor disconnected, what happens to 13V line? Does it increase? What does 24V measure with and without resistor?

Without resistor and lights flickering 11.4v (Steady)

With the resistor on the 24v line it drops and flutates from 17v to 0v back to 17v, obviously with 17v you can hear the BL try and start but cant

        WIthout resistor/Flickering 21.1v (Steady)

Yes or bad output capacitor or CM802 assuming that new CM802 is no good.

              Cheers Tom

Knowing my luck it will turn out to be another bad ebay buy

Will try a new cm802 in tomorrow and change the other caps and see how it goes

Did you figure out what was causing your problem?
I have the same problem and I've tried everything suggested here with no success. I have also replaced all of the electrolytic caps on the board.

                Thanks!
