    Lg 37lc7d

Finally!!! I found one with just bad caps!
It would take about 10 Min to come on. I opened it up and there were 5 VERY
bulged caps. After replacing all the caps, not just the bulged ones, It works perfectly. Tested on My ESR tester 4 of the 2200 16V caps showed up as " no component or component damaged. The other 2200 @ 25V showes 120 MFD with an esr of 13 Ohms! Its a wonder it worked at all.
BTY, if you are in the Dallas area, I have found Nichicon PW series and Panasonic FM and FC series cape in some values at Tanners on Valwood parkway. Not too bad for a surplus store!

The last TV I had with only bad caps must have been about 12 months ago. Not that easy any more! Nice find and fix.

I had the same model TV, with the same issue a couple of months ago.
Tom is right, good old days.
These days, I'm replacing a bunch of main boards.

Although it's nice to get an easy fix once and a while, I do like the challenge of tracking down a problem to an individual component.

I can't remember the last time I fixed a TV that just had bad caps. An easy fix is a nice breather every once in awhile.

Not with lead free solder on the processor, and poor firmware design.
With improvements in those, main boards would basically "never" fail.
