Problem is, the 42" and 50" use same boards; the only difference is software on the boards.Leave a comment:

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
Hi Tom
I have been really struggling to find the part i need but i just may of found one but it is from an italian ebay ??
Do you think this will be the one . It looks the same and numbers the same the only difference is on the white sticker.
My board says 5D6871VMAF68A003 and the one for sale he says 6871VMAD73A but everything else the same ?? I have asked him if it is for a 50" but he might not understand me !! I might have to get an italian phrase book !!
http://shop.re-life.it/index.php?rou...roduct_id=1328
I hope this is the one ??
Thanks
I think i have answered my own question ... the 42" main board doesnt have a connection on the top left and only 1 smd capacitor the 50" one has 4 SMD capacitors and the connection !!!!
I will try and get it delivered ??
please let this be the one ??

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
That is possible; though the board should still work, you would just have about 1/3rd of the screen blank. In which case, you may need to order via model number 50PX4R-ZB.Leave a comment:

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
Hi Tom
Yes the RL ON and Vs ON go from the power board to the AV board with the video inputs on.
On this board there is a red led light on ? Does this red light on the av board indicate a fault ?
I have attached some pictures of the board. Do you know anywhere that i can get this board from ? I have tried ebay but there is only one for a 42" TV
Thanks again for all your help Tom !!Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

If that's the one the RL ON and VS ON connect to, then yes.Leave a comment:

No, you need to replace the board exactly... The main board is the one with the video inputs on it.Leave a comment:

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
Main boards generally aren't repairable.
You can swap the main board, which usually works, just make sure you use 50 inch board as the 42 inch one will not work in a 50 inch set and vice versa.
Also, get a returns policy -- many dud boards and I may not be correct that it is a main board fault, but I am around 90% confident it is.Leave a comment:

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
Thanks Tom
Is this something I can fix or is it a replacement board ??
Is the model number on the the white sticker with the voltages on ? E247691

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
It looks like you have a main board fault as it's never switching on the VS ON.Leave a comment:

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
Hi Tom
RL ON = 0.04V DC then switch power button on remote then 4.23V DC then back to 0.04 V DC after 10 seconds
Vs ON = 0.04V DC switch on power on remote still 0.04V DC

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
That voltage is fine. >3VDC means voltage should be more than 3VDC.
Can you check RL ON and VS ON too?Leave a comment:

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
Hi Tom
I checked voltage accross AC-ON and chassis and it measures 4.3V DC
When I turn the TV on for the first time it clicks and goes down to 4.29V DC
Then back to 4.3V DC
Is this voltage too much, it does not stay below 3v DC ?

Re: LG 50PX4R-ZB stuck in standby mode
We can look at the cap later, for now let's rule in or out AC ON. Measure the AC ON voltage on your meter on the 20V DC range. Red probe on pin. Black probe on chassis. Turn set on. Voltage should stay at >3VDC. Does it?Leave a comment:

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by duwaneHi All.
I have an 820-02016 board (A2337 M1) that has come in for data recovery. Reported as liquid damage, but no visible evidence of any liquid damage.
Board was initially stuck at 5v, and current only spiking occasionally to around 400mA and cycling.
After initial troubleshooting, found that C7800 (which feeds the power rail PP5V_BSTLQ_VOUT_SPMU) was dead short to ground.
Replaced C7800 and short gone. Board still stuck at 5v. Current draw behaviour changed. It now spikes up for a second to around 100mA to 130mA, then drops down to... -
by AleMontiHi everyone,
I'm trying to troubleshoot and repair this old LG OLED curved TV, model 55EG910V.
I did some basic troubleshooting and reviewed most related posts here, but I wasn't able to isolate the issue.
The TV shut itself off during playback and never came back to life - the standby light remains off. My dad claims that it has happened a few times in the past but the issue resolved itself after some time. Not this one.
After checking the basics I did the following:- I measured all voltages and as expected the only active supply is the 3.5V standby. It

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.
Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today.... - Loading...
