Samsung LN-T4661F problem.

Just picked this up with problems. When it is plugged in, it clicks and the backlite comes on. The power switch has no effect. It just comes on and stays on. There is no sound or picture. All power supply voltages are present and clean. TCON has 12V on both sides of the fuse. Main Board? I did check the 3 pin regulators, and they all seem ok.

I was wrong! (go Figure). It will power on and off with the remote, and there is sound. The screen is grey, indicating a tcon?

Check for blown fuse on the T-CON board. Re-seat the LVDS cable, check the voltage on the T-CON TEST POINTS.

I have 12V on both sides of the fuse and LVDS has been re-seated.

These are notorious for the caps failing in the top right corner of the power board. Even if yours are good I would replace them while youve got it open. as I recall 2 2200uf 10v and 2 1000 uf 25v. you might get lucky and find they are causing your problem as well, although it sounds like your problem is elsewhere.

I have already ordered fm/fc series caps from digikey even though with clean power supply voltages (checked with my oscope). Here is a picture of the tcon. I found one for $16 with a 30 day warranty so I ordered it.
