2 LG TVs with problems 47lg50 AND 47lg70

Its garage sale time once again and picked up a couple TVs. I got hit with a fricken softball so I cant do any soldering or testing until I get my new glasses. But I thought I would throw out the problems and get some advance input.

First one is 47lg50. It works fine for about 30 minutes then the screen goes away.. Its not black but more dark blue and still has sound, no OSD when pushing buttons when the screen goes dark... I have the back off and was dinking around and unplugged the LVDS cable while the screen was dark blue and sound working. I can turn it off and then back on and the screen returns for a little bit.. When I plug the LVDS back in the screen comes back on for 5 or so minutes then it goes dark blue again... TCON Maybe???????

Second one is 47lg70. Powers up find and has input on the screen Hdmi avi ext.. I can get it to show a dvd on AVI inputs but there is no sound.. I then tried HDMI and it just bounces the NO SIGNAL OSD around... Any ideas???????

First one if it has an AUO or LG panel I am going to say tab bonds.
    Second one probably main board.

Try heating parts of the *50 and see if you can get the picture to go quicker. If you do you found the problem.

Dell G3 15 3500 - Battery bug (black screen and flashing keyboard backlight)
          by HTR-Informatique
          Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

ipad pro 9.7" blew a SMD component while replacing the screen 🤦‍♂️
          by ipatch
i have an ipad pro 9.7" (1st gen) A1674 where i replaced the screen, but never attached the screen to the frame/chassis (glued down) due to the ipad being previously dropped so the new screen would never fit in the frame properly. so i need flex/bend the chassis to eventually fix the new screen in properly. so i temporarily just applied blue tape around the edges of the screen to keep it in place. when watching videos with the ipad the screen started flicker, so i though maybe the new quasi cheap amz screen i purchased was going out. so i disconnected then reconnected with power still on,...

          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
          by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...
