So I need to find a new main board. Is there any way to test the MB.

Have you tested every video input and found any that work?

I tested several, all but HDMI as I recall. No picture from the input, but can see the menu screen and can scroll through all menus except ones that need input to work. This all happened after a lighting storm so I just assumed something was fried during the storm and since I could see the menu screen I thought it had to do with input.

Since HDMI/DVI uses a different path through the TV (no analog conversion) it would tell us a lot if you could find a way to test that.

i will put it back together and find a digital input for it. this may take me awhile as i have many parts and wires to reconnect and little familiarity with this.

Issue with picture quality of Sony bravia TV
              by CyberPhoenix
Hello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...

Philips 58PUS7805 Menu working but no/weird picture from video sources
              by Ierwin
              Hello everyone,

I got a 58pus7805 that shows some weird behavior.
The menu and remote work fine and the picture is looking crisp and flawless while navigating the menu.
However, when a video source is displayed the screen either goes solid green (HDMI), solid black (SAT TV) or shows some fragments on mostly green background (AVI Playback from USB).

I tried to reinstall the firmware through the menu which was rejected saying it already had the latest version.
I managed to install the latest official firmware by holding the control button while plugging...

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
              by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...
