i will put it back together and find a digital input for it. this may take me awhile as i have many parts and wires to reconnect and little familiarity with this.

I tested several, all but HDMI as I recall. No picture from the input, but can see the menu screen and can scroll through all menus except ones that need input to work. This all happened after a lighting storm so I just assumed something was fried during the storm and since I could see the menu screen I thought it had to do with input.Leave a comment:

I have tried several different input sources and all I tried would not provide a signal. I thought that may mean that I could replace a board that dealt with signal input and that might solve the issue.Leave a comment:

SONY KE-42TS2U can see menu but no picture
Hi all,
After a lightning storm I have no picture on this TV. I can get the menu to show on the screen but it indicates that there is no signal into the TV even when i switch to any type input source. Any ideas on which parts i need to replace? I have never worked on a TV before but consider myself to be handy repairing things.
