    Hisense F42K20E problem

This is an LCD set that won't turn on/off properly. I have 5V stb, 5v, and 14 V supplies on all the time. The LED supply doesn't come on. The on/off from the button board toggles, bur the power on on the power supply doesn't change(always low). There are a few regulators on the board. Most seem to test good. (5v in 3.2 out). One (I think it's a regulator) has 9.57v on pin 1, 0v pin 2 (center) Pin 3 4.98v. I can't identify the part. The markings are: CW78Do5, LZDDl5 (15?) , and MA104. It's the 3pin part just above the Tuner in the picture.
I haven't been able to find a service manual. Can anyone help?

Looks like a 5V fixed reg so 4.98V seems correct. May 2012, is that the date on your board? Warranty?

Yeah, I kinda figured that it might be a 5V reg. I have 20 V on the power supply pins labeled 14v. Don't kn0if that's a problem or a misprint. 12V is fine.

Technically if it is a 3.3V regulator, 3.2 ouput implies 3.2000 which is out of spec according to most datasheets.

        A 78D05 is your classic 5V regulator.

          Re: Hisense F42K20E problem

That should read pin3= 4.98V so it is a 5v regulator with the center pin grounded. I guess the cw 7805 is a 5v regulator with the cw prefix added.

            Re: Hisense F42K20E problem

May 2012 is the board manufacture date presumably, the TV would probably be at least a few weeks older (in terms of manufacture) and possibly months before it was sold, surely it has some warranty term left?

CRITIC COMMENT: Not a bad main board layout, pretty well made for a "Hisense". No bodges. Power resistors are a little out of place on a mostly SMD board. 8.5/10; nice try Hisense.

When I jumped on the SJ site, I realised where the photo was from so I doubt this is the actual board. The photo filename shows shopjimmy-159492-v.1-top.jpg

Yes the photo is from shop Jimmy That's the same board numbers.
Tom, I got this set second hand so I doubt they would honor any warranty and it's probably a "send it in" warranty.

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
                  by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                  1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                  2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                  3. Problem: TV shuts down

                  i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

                  Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
                  by perzyk23
                  Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....
