I have a fairly old Toshiba TV (don't know the model number). It doesn't have built-in digital tuner so must be old. It's connected to a HD cable box via HDMI, and it copes well with 1080p HD.
In recent months it's started doing an annoying flicker on the HDMI input, and it's gradually getting worse. There's no noise or anything on the picture, but it's like the colors are being inverted for a few frames. Reds turn into blues and vice versa, for example.
It's very random when it occurs; not 2 frames every second or anything like that. Tried both HDMI ports and power-cycling both the cable box and the TV, and the problem persists. The worst I've seen it is when it did two whole seconds of inverted colors before flipping back to normal.
Not sure if it's the lead as I don't have a spare HDMI lead to test it with - nor do I have any other HDMI sources in that room. Do you think it could be the lead, or the TV, or the cable box?
