    Lg plasma 42PQ60 relay clicking

I've done most of the test that's outlined in the training manual from lg. and i came to the conclusion that something is wrong with my mV5, it seems the relay clicks constantly when this used in the circuit. When there's no load it works, Can this be a main board problem ?

There's one test where i'm trying to test the control board, put a jumper from pin 10 of p811 (m5v) to pin 10 P201 (5v), i can't get this to work because my relay keeps clicking. I'm losing m5v when there is a load.

One way you can test this is by applying a load to the M5V, for example with a 10 ohm resistor (5W rated); power should be disconnected from the main board.

Re: Lg plasma 42PQ60 relay clicking

I did load m5v with a 100ohm resistor and it was okay

Here's an update, I think my M5v is okay. I think its the control PCB.
When i jump 5V from smps to pin 1 of ic211, on the control PCB, i get the dreaded relay clicks. the manual says the led should blink, i don't get the blinking i only get the relay clicks, Also if the ribbon cable is plugged in from the y-sus to the control pcb i get clicks. Could it be the control board.

I would suggest checking across M5V and GND on the control board for a short circuit.

Re: Lg plasma 42PQ60 relay clicks and release

When power is plugged, relay clicks and releases and remains released. 5v sty remains present, RL_ON, 5V_on, Vs_on command present at respective pins of connector P813 of smps. Pfc voltage rises momentarily to 390V and drops. NO VA, VS, 12V and 17V. tried replacing 2A20112 pfc ic, but no change. Also replaced L6599D ic but no change. No shorting of any component at any point. all low value resistance and fuses ok. Any suggestion to attend the defect.

Samsung LN46b530p7f – relay clicks and backlight cycling, sound OK
            by momaka
I got this TV a little over a year ago from a coworker from my previous job. It’s a Samsung 46” TV, model number LN46b530p7f.

            Problem:
            Backlight cycles On and Off.
Basically, when the TV is turned On, there is a relay click heard from the TV PS board. The relay cycles On and Off 4 times in about 2-3 second intervals. Each of those 4 times, the backlights also cycle On and Off with the relay. The screen TFT isn’t cracked/damaged and appears to work - I can see a “no signal” image when the backlights turn On briefly – though the image is a bit dull/dark....

Carver CM-1090 - Power relay clicking on & off, then fuse blown after 20-30 seconds of power cycling.
            by beetle1303
I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.

On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off...

LED TV Boot loop - UE40F6500SB

            Hi,

            First post...

I have this TV, which was working, then suddenly would not turn on. It would get the clicking relay then flash up the screen for less than a second, off for a second then on again. Removing the plug the relay continues to click on and off for a few cycles, which I don't think it did before.

Left it a few months, then finally got round to taking the back off, and it worked as it should. So I tested various bits and all was well. Then turned it on again, and back to the clicking relay.

I disconnected the main board from the power...

Testing ATX PSUs under load - Does loading the ATX 24 pin also load EPS & PCIE?
            by AJ847.63e
            Hi Folks,

Just wanted to clear up a misunderstanding of mine (or what I expect is one). Isn't the 12V rail from the 24 pin, EPS and PCIE separated? IE if I put a power resistor on the ATX 12V pin that is not going to load, thus tell me if the EPS or PCIE rails are fine?

I was recently watching ArIs from Hardware Busters video on how to properly test ATX PSUs without using 5 figure Croma substations.

The PCB adapter he used breaks out the 12, 5 and 3.3V pins from the 24 pin and gives you banana plugs to connect to. That is a bit useless is it not? Aren't...

60" LG 60PB690V relay clicking issue
            by DodgyTech
            Hi everyone,

I require some help with my TV. The TV standby light blicks on and off with a clicking sound (relay?) from the back. After I opened up the TV, I set about troubleshooting by unplugging the boards to try and isolate the problem. My troubleshooting suggests that the logic board is causing the issue, but it could entirely be the YSUS board which is only activated once the logic board is connected.

I have recorded a video which I thought would be an easier way to explain the problem and show the boards at the same time.

I would like to try and identify...
