Sony kdl 37xbr6 Blinking standby light 3 times

So I have this sony that had no picture or sound but had backl ight.

I found the fuse f006 on av board open (pretty sure) and mistakenly (stupidly) attempted to jumper it.
I now have a flashing standby light (3 times) and have lost back light also....

Lost power to f006 on av board after jumper attempt. Power supply board outputs seem dead now also.. Main (big) fuse is good on p/s. Auto switching (fuse?) above main p/s fuse is doing an extra click now also...



Any thoughts on how not to screw this up further? (besides the obvious one of stopping)

Doesnt sound good!
We can sometimes help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back (in the same orientation) and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

I set this one aside for awhile but am now revisiting it with updated Info.



THE STANDBY LIGHT IS NOT BLINKING LIKE TITLE SAYS... I don't know how to change the title...

I swapped the main pcb out with one I was told was good taken from a unit with cracked lcd so that should have taken care of the "post 1" screw up...

Maybye I should have started a new post... But this is where i am at now.....

I have a sony kdl-37xbr6 that Has sound and backlight with no picture. Other than no picture, turns on and off fine.

I checked f1 on the t-con and it has continuity but no power to it on either side.

I checked through a bunch of forums but could not find one that dealt with the fuse not getting power.

Not sure where to proceed from here. Any help would be great..

Update...

Found F1422 (5A 24V) on main pcb open.

I found reference to this fuse in this other bravia post

Is it a bad idea to jumper across like the guy in the above post did for testing? ? As shown in my 1st post of this thread, it did not work well for me. although its tempting to try since i don't have any of the fuses in question and i want to see results......

Anyone have any idea what digikeys part # is for this little guy or where to get them?

If I replace it is it just going to blow again because of possible bad t-con?
