Sounds like a cold joint or some problem on main board where connector goes... try lightly pressing around the area to see if it occurs again.

Hi Tom,

I have tried another main PCB and the syptoms are the same, I have refitted the original main PCB, can you please explain a bit more what you mean and where you mean on the PCB's.

How many boards do you have? If you have that many PCBs, swap every one out until it works!! That appears to be the way of most TV techs these days -- no diagnosis, just swap boards til it works...

Hi Tom66,

I just have a replacement main PCB as in earlier posts to my thread it was suggested it could be main PCB. So with either the original main PCB or the replacment main PCB I get the same results, no picture, back lights on and sound OK. I'm like you I dont like just swapping PCB's as that isnt fault finding. Currently I just have the two connectors that go from the 100Hz PCB un-plugged from the T-Con PCB and I get backlight and the relay on the PSU does not tick.

Makes me think of a problem on 100Hz or T-con, but I'm not sure which.
