From T880 from switch on for 5 seconds, it changes pitch during the 5 seconds, after 5 seconds it stops, T880 is on the board next to the PSU.

Voltage across these two terminals please.

The reading are 151.5v top terminal and -62.3volts lower terminal.

You should measure red/black across the cap terminals, not to chassis.

Ops! it is 395v across the two soldered pads.

Yes thre ticking is constant, just re-checked the reading and got 394 volts

I'm a bit lost but I would be considering the main board or t-con. I do not know which. The ticking makes me suspect the main board more though.

Hi Tom66, I have replaced the main board and still have the same fault and also I still have the ticking relay. T-Con?

Try unplugging t-con and motion board then see if it still ticks.

yes. That is the 100Hz processing board.

Hi Tom, I unplugged the connector from the main PCB that is a long connector with the wires in a material sheath and the connector from the top of the 100hz PCB, the set comes on the fan starts and then stops, but I cannot hear the ticking. So do we think its the T-Con?

I think there's a problem with either 100Hz or t-con. Not sure which.

What if I re-connect the 100Hz board and disconnect the T-Con?

Hi Tom,

I have just replugged the 100Hz PCB into the main PCB and the back light comes on and I do not get the clicking from that relay! So does that point to T-con?

Hi Tom,

Sorry what I was saying is I have re-connected the connectors from the 100Hz PCB back into the main PCB and the set comes on the fan runs, the back lights come on and the clecking from the relay on the PSU was not clicking. so basically everything is connected in the circuit apart from the two connectors from the 100Hz PCB to the T-con PCB.
