Try 200 ohm range (no "k").

ok, so i tried that and i get a quick flash of digits then i just sits on what i think is infinite resistance (1.) the reading i get is the same as i get when both connections on the multi meter are not touching each other. does that make sense

Those are the correct resistors. They should measure 4.7 ohm. But if they are all failed I would suspect the plasma panel drivers.

I wonderd because this board had gone down

                [/QUOTE]

That it may have shorted the longer bottom board. I suppose i am just defo ruling out every other possible out come. And the panel is defo broke

The X-main (large right board) can't cause that.

Ok. some of the resistors i seem to be getting 16.5 ohs and some i am not getting any readings at all

1.65 ohm (may read 1.6 or similar) might be reasonable.

because the panel drivers are broke would that cause the break down of the long bottom panel ?
Looks like i will be stripping it for parts lol

My Plasma Philips 37inch chassis FTL2.1 does no picture ,and goes into protection mode after 30 seconds (red led blinks at 3Hz).

Can someone has any symptom like this ?

                                Thanks

                                Hi,

I am attempting to repair my television. When I turn it on, it seems to start normally and then the backlight turns off after a couple seconds.

Initially on the main power board I replaced diode D1202 which was shorted, and capacitor C1201 which was bulging. I was still getting some wonky voltages, so also replaced C1204, C1250 on the main board, as well as the filter caps on the LCD module, which were 3 680uf caps in parallel, which I replaced with 2 1000uf caps in parallel.

The tv is still showing the same symptoms, although now...

panasonic TH-42PC77U plasma television half screen problem
                                by renech
                                hello,
I hope someone on this forum can assist me.
                                I have a panasonic TH-42PC77U plasma television.
the lower 1/2 of the screen has become flaky....in and out, then finally goes black and you can only see the top portion.
i have performed the reset to default settings quite a few times. Panasonic recommended..did not believe this would help...it didn't.
I have removed the back panel and looked around for something obvious...burn marks in a board, etc....nothing obvious...
I have read some posts that suggest the problem is related to the boards on the left...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

                                Hi all,

Wife has 2 Philips hair curling irons half defective - after learning how they're supposed to work and testing them, it turned out that both have defective power cables, and both on the same place; broken wires due to wire bending.
As they were both relatively easy to disassemble, and cables are plugged not soldered (as they can rotate in the handle), I was sure it would be easy to find replacements. But - NO! I'm unable to find anything similar on ebay or Aliexpress.

Not sure if this is something Philips proprietary, or a standard, but the cable plug...
