panasonic 12 gen "tc-p42g15" No video, no LED blinks

    Hello all,
Long time lurker, first time poster^^ I'm trying to figure out what is wrong w/ this panasonic tc-p42g15. I have taken some voltage readings and have a few question I hope somebody could help w/.
First off here are the symptoms when plugging in the tv you hear a relay click. when you try to power the unit on the red LED beside the power button comes on and stays solid, after a few seconds the panels backlight will come on and go right back off, and the LED never changes/blinks, and you can't power down the tv w/o unplugging it.
The measurments I've taken so far....
    P Board-
    TPVDA(tp9)-- 60v

    SS board-
    TPVSUS--208v
    TPSS1--134.2v
    TPVe---138.6
    TPSOS8---2.2 Mv

    SC Board-
    TPVSET--289
    TPVAD--194
    TPSC1--34.2
    TPVSUS--208.1
    TPVSCAN--46.2 @ Grnd Base
TPSOS7--1.3Mv had some fluctuation but held at 1.3 eventually
    TPSOS6-- .6MV

I've put the result that I don't know if they are correct or not in Orange.

The voltage from the P board to the SS @ P11 is correct VSUS and the 15v.
At P2 going from P board to the SC-the VSUS voltage is there.

One thing I'm not sure about is at P25 connector at the "top" #1 I get 5v and on the next #2 I get 15v which is right. But after that #3 to the end of the connector approx 8-10 wires I don't know what the voltage should be if any.

Also coming into the unit from the AC plug, the live and neutral sides each has their own fuse "f601, f602" from the it goes to a zdiode z601 and a cap c601---at this point the circut continues on, but @ cap 601 there is another diode 602 to a "bulb" of some sorts a601 to ground. My question is what is this bulb? Is it gas filled? I didn't see a filiment in it.

Srry for the lengthy post, just trying to include any helpful information. I would like to know what else I should be testing or looking for, and any information or advice is much appreciated.

Have you counted the number of blinks the LED does?
It will blink N times, then pause, then blink N times, then pause.... This N indicates the fault code.

the LED stays solid the entire time. The only time that the LED blinks is when I disconnect one of the SC or SS boards from the P board. Then it will produce 7 blinks. But normally the LED is always solid. No blinks =/

      Thanks,

OK, then it is most likely the A board.

Thanks Tom^^ I will look into it some more. I appreciate the reply and getting me pointed in at least some direction. I will post an update here once I find something out.

UPDATE: the A-board is out of stock all over the interwebs--called panny sales and they quoted me 367.00 and it is on back order for 3-4 weeks. =/ Any information on the A board, like schematics or flow charts or any tips on isolation of the componet/s on the board would be a great help.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
                by Hakuu
                Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

                More Details

Got the same exact TCON board from TVPartsToday and replaced it. But didnt transfer the EPPROM data (didnt...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                After all of...

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
                by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
