    Samsung LN22A450 LVDS Connector

I looking for a solution to fix my Samsung LCD (LN22A450) that has a bad/loose LVDS connection on the mainboard. If I put outward (away from the mainboard) pressure on the cable the display work otherwise I just get a white screen. Is there someway to fix this. Thanks in advance.

Measure the pin pitch, i.e. 0.5mm between each pin.

I would try making some thin shims from margerine tub - insert the cable and insert shim/shims to press cable on to the pins then when it is known to work tape it all down.

Or is it the black retaining clip that is broken?
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

No I don't think the retaining clip is broken. It just doesn't seem to make proper contact and lock in place. Originally there was tape holding down the cable and retainer.

Just pin spacing or also between pins and base of connector?

          Thanks

Pin spacing (=pitch) should be enough to narrow down replacement…

I have used strips of scotch tape an the back of the LVDS to increase pressure. Have you already cleaned the connections of the LVDS cable?

That's not a very common size. How did you determine it? Tried measuring length and dividing by number of pins?

No I haven't cleaned the connections yet. I will ensure that I do before re-assembly.

Ii used a feeler gauge between the pins. The total length of the pins is 29mm/30 pins = .97

                      Thanks

                        So it's 1mm pitch, good.

The Cable, on the plastic tab that inserts into the connector. The idea is to make it a little thicker.

Samsung un82ru88000f - Boot loop sort of but can correct with taping of LVDS ribbon
                              by NolesFan
Hello all... TV started boot looping. Opened the back panel and tried to isolate the problem. Just PSB no boot loop. PSB and MB no boot loop. Plug in the LVDS from panel to MB and boot looping starts up. It doesnt matter of order that I plug the LVDS ribbons back in, only 1 and no boot loop but as soon as 2nd one plugs in boot looping. I then noticed a flicker on the screen when I was closing the clip on the harness to the LVDS. Shut the lights off so I can see better, and I noticed as i slowly close it, I will get a picture, but as soon as it clips in, I lose picture and booting happens. So I...
